| The purpose of this page is to make your
first visit with us as comfortable and as spiritually uplifting as
possible. We realize that the first visit to a church can be
confusing. We are located on the corner of North Military Road
and Bollier Avenue. The front of the building and the main entrance are on the North
Military side. There is a parking lot in back of the building
off of Bollier Avenue. You can also park on the street. Our handicapped
entrance is located in the back of the building. There is
an elevator that is wheelchair accessible. As you enter the main
entrance, you will be greeted and handed our weekly bulletin. If
you are attending Bible class,
please see
our current schedule for classes and room assignments. If
you are attending worship services, our auditorium is straight ahead
and you may sit anywhere that you please.
Worship consists of the simple acts found in the New
Testament: studying the Holy Scriptures, praying, singing, observing
the Lord's Supper (Communion) and contributing of our means. The
following describes a "typical" Sunday worship service
that is about an hour long.
Bible references are included.
Welcome and Prayer Requests 1Timothy 2:1
Visitors and members are welcomed and current prayer requests are
announced.
Acapella Singing Ephesians 5:19
We sing traditional hymns and contemporary songs unaccompanied by
musical instruments.
Opening Prayer Philippians 4:6
A prayer lead by one of the men of our congregation.
Acapella Singing
The Lord's Supper Luke 22:19, 1 Corinthians 11:26
A remembrance of Jesus Christ's suffering and death. We take
a piece of unsalted cracker (unleavened bread) and a sip of grape
juice (fruit of the vine) just as the disciples did during their last
supper with Jesus. We do this every Sunday as Jesus requested.
All believers are welcome to participate. During this time, we
silently reflect on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
Acapella Singing
Freewill Offering 2Corinthians 9:17
An opportunity to contribute of our means in order that the Church
at LaSalle may continue to serve our community and spread the
Gospel throughout the world. Visitors are not expected to
contribute but may if they wish.
Lesson
Several sermons are
posted on this website. We are taught God's will as revealed
through the Bible and how to incorporate this into our daily lives.
Invitation Song Galatians 6:2
During the song, those who have special requests to make of the
congregation can come forward. The requests range from baptism
to requests for prayers concerning specific concerns.
